Finding your place at East Taylorsville is so important because everyone is essential. Since the Bible compares the Church as a Body and every part of the Body is needed, then we need everyone who attends to be plugged into a ministry.
The Bible says, “Now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” So how do you find your place at ETBC?
1. Become a member of ETBC - You do not have to be a member to serve Christ here but it is important to commit to a church family that will help to support you, pray for you, and be there for you and your family. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, as is the manner of some, but encouraging one another…”. To become a member look at “How to Join”
2. Attend regularly – Regular attendance indicates that you are serious about serving here and helping us reach people for Christ. Our leadership looks for people who are faithful and make themselves available to help.
3. Get plugged into a Sunday Class – The Sunday school class is the best place to get to know people in our church. If you want to know more about our Sunday school visit our Sunday School Page. There are plenty of ways you can help your Sunday school class through care groups, outreach groups, fellowship, and more.
4. Talk with a Staff Member about Your Spiritual Gifts – A staff member will know right away where you could be used. If you do not know your spiritual gifts that God has given you, then they can help you determine that. Finding your spiritual gifts will help you and our church get you where you will be best used. You can contact our staff on the Staff Page.
5. Choose your Ministry area - Our ministry page is full of ministries that God has opened to us. There you can browse through things that might peak your interest. If you have questions about who to contact then you can e-mail our staff for further help. Scan the Ministry Page to see what creates a passion within you
6. Be Available to Be Used By God – Someone once said, “God does not need our ability, but our availability.” That is right. God is equipping you for His service. If you are willing to be used and you want to be a servant for Christ, then all you need to do is ask God to do this in your life.
